For Patients & Families

I see patients with epilepsy and other neurological disorders at the Cleveland Clinic Epilepsy Center, with appointments available at main campus or in Medina. If you or your child has been referred to me, or if you are already an established patient, I hope the information below is helpful. You can view my Cleveland Clinic profile and request an appointment here.

Patient Education

I have authored a free, openly available handbook for patients and families living with epilepsy. It covers seizure basics, medications, safety, school, and much more - written in plain language, without medical jargon.

Appointments

New patients - Appointments are typically 45-60 minutes. If you have prior records, imaging, or EEG reports, please make sure these are sent to our office ahead of the visit. It is also helpful to prepare a written seizure history and a list of your questions in advance.

Follow-up patients - Appointments are typically 20-30 minutes. If you have had any significant changes since your last visit - new seizures, medication changes, or school/developmental concerns - please send a brief update through MyChart ahead of time so we can make the most of your appointment.

Longer or expedited appointments - If you feel you need more time, or if your situation is urgent, please contact our office directly through MyChart rather than calling the general appointment line.

Virtual / Telehealth - Telehealth visits are available for appropriate follow-up appointments.
